Had a poor experience with these. Cracked slates from scaffold not replaced nor the manager admitted it was their fault, when I had clear evidence. Poor communication. Very expensive. I will never use again. Update: Additional to the broken slate issue, I have recently ungone an independant roof survey which has revealed the work done on the bay roof by Childwall is substandard. The bay window was replaced with a melt welded bituminous membrane deemed only suitable for outbuildings such as stables. The outlet was covered over and rainwater now drips off the roof onto the pavement below. No edge drip, the membrane should overhang the roof perimetre by approx 50mm. This now needs replacing with lead sheet and outlet renovated.

Called this company Wednesday for a quote for a leak in my Liverpool property. Was told to a quote would be given within 24 hours. None given. Called thurs. Promised it ll be Friday. None given. Sent text reminder Friday evening, no reply until Monday asking who I was despite several sms messages above in conversation explaining who I was. Monday came and I spoke with Geraldine twice who promised a quote by 12pm. 12 30 came - no quote. Called again to be told by close of business. Now 5pm and despite me reminding 2pm by text nothing. If this is how they treat genuine interested customers I would hate to see how their service is should the job have gone wrong. No idea where these reviews have come from. Very suspect. I was nothing but polite and they didn't care less. Too many lies for me to take so I'm warning others.

John responded very quickly and sent someone out to inspect the old chimney stack. Effective diagnosis and then I was prioritised for repair due to inclement weather. The job was done quickly and professionally and the guys were very courteous. Definitely recommended.

Recently had my business roof repaired to a high standard after having it patched up by previous firms. From start to finish there where pictures and updates of all the work carried out. Only then I realised the work was on another level, 100 percent will use again for any future repairs.

I spotted some water coming into my loft and gave Childwall Roofing a call. They came out to inspect the roof swiftly. Came back down with pictures of the problem. (A brick fallen off the chimney had broken tiles) They offered a quote the next day, took an online deposit and the scaffold went up the day after The work was done quickly and effectively,,, solving the problem. Two staff turned up on the agreed day and they were excellent. They bent over backwards to make sure that not only the damage was repaired but also that a few cracked tiles nearby were replaced. We got Childwall involved on what we thought was a fairly simple leaking bay roof. Even though it turned into a much bigger job including demolition and replacement of a dormer window, John was very good at advising and then sorting the whole process out for us, including getting a structural surveyor involved before his team got the work done to a high standard. As I was arranging the work on behalf of my Mum, but am not in Liverpool, I appreciated the really good comms. with John via WhatsApp, including photos etc. Very pleased with the quality of the final job, and the care and attention paid. Had to be a bit patient at the start to get quotes/paperwork etc. because they were obviously busy but it's worthwhile persisting!

I contacted the company later in the evening with my enquiry. I had a response within a few minutes of sending the initial email.
I sent through images of what needed repairing first thing in the morning and they sent out two gentlemen first thing as an emergency repair. The communication was fantastic, and the guys who came out to repair my roof were on time, friendly and very professional. They fixed the issue in great time and explained to me fully the works they had completed. I am extremely happy with the full experience and would definitely recommend their services.

Honest, genuine, reliable. My mum who is in her 70s had a ridge tile that came off due to the weather and got damaged . Had 3 quotes that went from the ridiculous to the sublime. First one wanted just shy of £500 and the Second one made an issue out of the tv aerial but luck would have it , he knew a man who could take the aerial down. The third ( Childwall Roofing ) came and looked at the job , advised they could probably fix without having to buy a new tile and maybe some pointing might need doing on the surrounding ridge tiles. So was given two prices . One for repair and one for repair and pointing. Both very reasonable prices. When they came to do the job Phil and John they took pictures of the roof and said they could repair the ridge tile and no pointing needed to be done as the roof was in good condition . So thank you for being honest.

Childwall Roofing were excellent. They came to give a quote quickly and started the work on time. Unlike many modern tradesmen they turned up when they said (even in very poor weather) worked hard and finished on time. Good quality workmanship and reasonably priced too. After a large crack appeared across our upstairs bay, John was recommended to me by a friend, who was delighted with his work.
John came out almost immediately, and was very honest, as the problem was not being caused by our roof, which I had expected would need replacing.
I’d no idea where to start but John arranged for a structural engineers visit, and for a joiner (Phil) to attend and identify and repair the problem with minimal disruption, (the ceiling joists had snapped and come away from the main beam, so we were extremely grateful this was spotted), and a plasterer to repair the ceiling.
Phil and John’s workmanship was exemplary and John kept in contact and updated us throughout the process.

I am impressed by the friendly communication, speed of response and all round professionalism. We had 3 jobs. All were dealt with quickly and without fuss given that Christmas got in the way! The biggest of the jobs was a repair to a leaking extension roof and there were two options with two costs. Once the work was underway it became clear to the roofers that the less expensive option would work. The less expensive repair was applied. It's that sort of honesty that gives a business a good trusted name. I will be happy to use Childwall Roofing again should the need arise. I would recommend the company without hesitation.

First impressions with John were impressive. Having told him of my problems he inspected the roof. What impressed me was his attitude that on inspection, he would assess the work and if areas where ok he would inform me. He definitely was not looking for extra work and payments. John was very helpful and honest. I live in Oxfordshire but my parents house in Liverpool needed some repairs done as we are in the process of selling it. I am very pleased with the service from Childwall Roofing company. I contacted them recently because the roof in my utility was leaking due in no small part to the horrendous rain storms in recent years. I found a invoice in my folder which I inherited from the previous owners of the property. It turned out the roof had been installed by Childwall roofing in 2000. The company had guaranteed the work for 20 years, and when I contacted them were more than happy to refelt the roof. They were professional from the word go and turned up to do the work when they said they would and did a fantastic job on the roof. They were also extremely professional and courteous throughout. I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending this company.

I had a leak that was coming inside my home from our extension roof that somebody had 'apparently' fixed. I rang John, explained what the problem was and he came out the following day at the time we had arranged, to look at the job and what needed doing. After looking at the job, the quote was sent over and with one week the work was completed to a high standard, very quick, professionally and efficiently.
I am more than pleased with the standard of work and how quick the work was completed as it could have caused quite a bit of internal damage which would have been more cost to us.

We had a bad leak in our bay window roof - despite it having been "repaired" by someone else a couple of years ago. We contacted Childwall Roofing and they came when they said they would come, they completed the work when they said they would, they tidied everything up and they gave us a ten year guarantee. For service, efficiency, expertise and helpfulness this is the roofing firm to go to. Excellent - thanks very much Childwall Roofing.

Recently had a new flat roof on 2 storey extension. John, the contracts manager, came promptly to provide estimate. He kept us updated as to date of work and was in communication about all aspects of the job. Andy and his team arrived on time.and did highly.professional job. Great company - came round quickly to check out the work that needed doing and had quotes sent over within a couple of days. When I gave the go-ahead the work was booked in for the following week with scaffolding and supplies all ready. Work was completed to schedule and on budget, and the guys very kindly cleaned up after themselves (including mopping the kitchen floor!).
